Minor to Appear In-Studio on “In the Pits”

Tim MinorTim Minor, who captured his second consecutive series title in the Formula 2000 Championship Series at Watkins Glen on Columbus Day weekend, will be an in-studio guest for the “In The Pits” radio show live audiocast this Wednesday (October 22) from 6 to 8 p.m. (EDT).

In addition to the live audiocast, “In The Pits” is distributed for re-broadcast on CBS Sports affiliates in Baltimore (WJZ 105.7, Saturday morning), Tampa (WHFS 98.7, Saturday morning), and Charlotte (WBCN 1660, Sunday morning)

Skylar Robinson Wins at the Glen

Skylar RobinsonAugusta, GA- Skylar Robinson had another roller coaster weekend at Watkins Glen, but would emerge from the fray with a win and as the F2000 Vice Champion.

Heading into the season finale at Watkins Glen, Skylar was just 4 points behind series veteran and defending champion Tim Minor.

Robichon Makes F2000 Debut For BGR Team Grote

Robichon Makes F2000 Debut For BGR Team GroteAfter two season of winning races with BGR Team Grote in the highly rated  Toyo Tires F1600 Championship, Zacharie Robichon got his first taste of the next step as he made his debut at the season finale for the F2000 Championship Series held at Watkins Glen . It was Zach’s first trip to the former home of the USGP and historic race course.  It was a jump right into the deep end with no test day and just two Friday practice sessions to not only learn the track but the car as well. It was also his first race on slick tires  as the choice of tire in Canada’s F1600 series is a street radial tire. A full field of 27 drivers took to the track and Zach  set about the job at hand.  A few black flags during the two sessions cut the time down a bit but at days end Zach had set the 11th  fastest lap and was getting quicker with every lap.

Minor Clinches Title as Robinson Wins Race

Skylar RobinsonWatkins Glen, NY – While Skylar Robinson took the lead back with five laps to go to win the season finale F2000 Championship Series race at Watkins Glen, it was Tim Minor that clinched the 2014 Championship with a second place finish. Robinson started on pole, lost the lead, and grabbed it back for his fourth win of the season, while Minor followed. Saturday winner Sam Beasley finished third in round 14 of the 2014 season.
